In the morning when we arrived at the location the tour guide was all ready and good to go. The tour van was comfortable and had nice airconditioning. The tour guide even brought some extra water with her for us. Our tour guide was very excited and energetic, even though it was early in the morning. She also has a good sense of humour. She told us a lot about all kinds of stuff not only history of Latvia and Estonia but also some funny facts about Riga, Estonia and Tallinn. The stops underway are very welcome, not just for stretching your legs but they're also at very nice places where you wouldn't go at first. Liine showed us some sick berry plucking skills. Also the delicious lunch at an extraordinary restaurant was a nice surprise. It is highly recommended to take this tour. You won't be sorry.

Maybe especially for a Swede, with all the common history, this is a very interesting and nice tour to take - to visit Narva and see some of the historical sites that is so deeply seated in our history. But the tour is also of great interest for all people who are interested in getting a glimpse of what life was like in the U.S.S.R. You will even be able to visit a formerly "secret city" that was not marked on the map!

"Bubbly Baltic Bus "

This tour was amazing! Highly recommended! We left Tallinn early Sunday morning and arrived to Riga late Sunday night. In between was a lot of fun. We drove south front Tallinn through the countryside. We stopped in Viljandi and explored the old castle ruins. This was when I first realised the wealth of knowledge that our guide had. From there we drove to the border town of Valga and had a delicious lunch. Really clean restaurant, friendly staff and great food! This town also has a army museum including a tank, helicopter and other vehicles. Liine (our guide) blew my mind here with how much she knew about her local history. Back in the van and off to the next stop! This was to Gauja National Park where we did a trail walk though a beautiful forest full of pine trees, a river and sandstone cliffs. Really nice place. The next pit stop was in the very picturesque town of Césis. Liine yet again blew my mind as she talked about the town, its history and much more. Our final stop was in Sigulda. We got an awesome sunset view from the top of the bobsled track. Walking down the track was pretty surreal. A unique experience. Within an hour we were in Riga. It was a great day, incredible value for money and Liine was superb. I thoroughly enjoyed my time, learned a lot and highly recommend this company. Thank you!

I didn't expect anything, just a drive to Riga. But in the end, all group was having so much fun and we have seen really interesting places in Estonia and Latvia. In the end, but no less important, Liine is one great guide, so nice, professional and full of knowledge.

Liine was fantastic! She was incredibly knowledgeable about the national flora and fauna and helped us hunt for wild blueberries! She had just the right combination of knowledge, being in charge, friendly and helpful. The pace of the trip was just right. Enough time to do everything and we ever felt rushed to get to the next stop. Lunch was traditionally Estonian and plentiful (huge portions! ) I enjoyed the variety of places visited especially the swing!

"A pleasant afternoon"

Our guide picked us up at the cruise ship. We had a slight difficulty finding her because we did not realize we needed to walk outside the wire fence to find her. But she was right there on time. She took eight of us in a van, and drove us to some locations that were outside old town. She spoke excellent English, and was a safe and careful driver. She was very pleasant to spend the day with. The memorial to the persons who died in Siberia was amazing, and well worth seeing, She had an excellent grasp of the issues and history of the memorial. Seeing the presidential palace and the the other country palace we could have skipped. Just exterior views of buildings, not necessary. I would have preferred more time walking around Old Town, learning about the architecture and hearing more of the history of Estonia. Because we spent time having lunch (which we needed to do.... a midday tour), our time in town was more limited.

"Excellent Option to Make Tallinn - Riga Interesting"

We looked at traveling between Tallinn and Riga by train or bus and found this comprehensive small group tour was a better option. The cost is reasonable and you get to see a few places of interest along the way. Our guide Linne was very knowledgable, quirky and fun! She made the day interesting without drowning us in facts and dates but gave good information and was able to expand based on peoples questions and interest levels. I would do this trip again! It also runs in the reverse format or Riga to Tallinn.

"Brilliant road trip to Tallinn"

We took the road trip from Riga to Tallinn and enjoyed every minute of it with Liine providing a brilliant tour. Couldn’t recommend the trip highly enough. Liine was a great lead, both with her knowledge and her humour. Would definitely recommend to do the trip to anyone young or old !!

"Riga to Tallinn - the fun way"

Chosen instead of a boring flight with time wasted at airports, this was a way to see the countryside and something of the smaller towns on the way. Our guide had a wealth of information at her fingertips and gave insights into modern life in Latvia and Estonia and history of the Baltic States. This added hugely to our short stay in the two countries. I must also say that the vehicle used was ideal for the journey and that our guide's driving was impeccable.

"Beats the bus"

Intercity bus takes 4.5 hrs so half day is gone. This one takes all day but you see the castles and countryside, understand better the real Baltics, interact with the local guide. Very nice.

This tour involves surprisingly little driving for a unique and varied experience. From viewing an 18th century manor house built on the fruits of serfdom and the timber, spirits and brick trade, to seeing the reemergence of the freedom to fish after Soviet times, we walked through a forest and an eerie bog, enjoying wildflowers along the way. All this was punctuated by a delicious home cooked meal where the owners have displayed memorabilia collected by their antecedents over many generations. Our guide was knowledgeable, accommodating, informative, communicative, helpful, empathic and had extraordinary competency in English as a second language. I found this tour to be an excellent day out and can unreservedly recommend it.

The tour was fun and very interesting as we discovered a bit more about Latvia and Estonia history. It was great to have a small walk on the Gauja park and very funny to try the Estonian swing. The minibus (8 people maximum) is a perfect size if you are not that much into "tour bus" and allows you to discuss with the other travellers and the guide. The guide was very friendly, informative and full of tips to make the most of Estonia. Liine was a very safe and relaxed driver. Overall a very enjoyable trip.

Lovely trip, it gives us the opportunity to learn a bit more about the history and independence of Estonia and the role Parnu played in this historical moment in time. A great trip if you want to see something of Estonias countryside! Nice stop at the Jägala waterfall (the biggest waterfall in Estonia), walking through the Viru bog and the wetlands, hike along the coast in Altja and an interesting stop at Käsmu village with the private maritime Museum. We learned a lot about the country and its people from our guide.

"Spend Your Most Interesting Day in Estonia on This Tour"

Excellent full day tour (10 AM to 7 PM) to Lahemaa National Park that I would highly recommend for adults of all ages. Groups of 8 participants were self-formed for each van (there were 3 vans total the day of my tour) which had its own guide. There was a variety of activities which included visiting an historic manor house, hiking along the Bay of Finland and adjoining forest, visiting the highest waterfall in Estonia (height hint: remember that Estonia is basically flat), walking through the bogs on wooden planks, participating in a thrilling group swing, and enjoying a group lunch (additional cost) of salmon within the Park. Liine was the most amazing guide. She was extremely knowledgeable, funny, and enthusiastic. I asked her many questions regarding events in Estonia's history and all of her responses were thoughtful and comprehensive. I learned so much about Estonia as well as about the National Park from Liine's detailed responses to my questions. The sites visited on this tour along with the information and humor provided by our guide Liine were for me the highlights of my 5 days spent in Estonia.

This was a very interesting tour, looking back at life in Soviet times and how it has changed. Liine, our guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt so much about the past. Being able to stare into Russia from the very interesting Narva castle was a memorable experience. An absolutely fantastic experience for all of us. We were taken to so many fascinating places, almost all of which were off the beaten track, and learned so much from our guide Liine. She was able to tell us anything about the sites and her explanations of the historical contexts surrounding them (including from the Tsarist, Nazi, and Soviet periods) were always interesting and helpful. Not to mention how kind and fun she was; it was great spending the day with her! Our lunch at an authentic Estonian cafe was another highlight. The access the tour provided to sites that would be hard to visit otherwise was also much appreciated. We could not recommend this tour enough - it contains the perfect mix of natural beauty and fascinating history. Liiine was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining throughout our private 5+hour driving and walking tour. She also was very relatable, which assisted both my husband and I and our teenage daughters’ understanding of the impact of WWII and the Soviet occupation of Estonia. Of course, the medieval history and following centuries was fully covered as well. Other favorite parts of the tour were visiting the local side of Tallin.

Our guide Lina (sp?) Took us to 6 different places. We had a wide variety of Estonia food. From pastries and desserts to appetizers to main meals it was all wonderful. But what made the tour even better was Lena's vast knowledge of Estonian history and cultural history. She was informative witty and a delight. In the end we waddled out of the last restaurant unable to have one more mouthful. So the amount of food is more than adequate. The Highlight for me was the Sprat with quail eggs. For my wife it was the dumplings. Most of the food that we ate was comfort food that estonian's ate throughout history which is exactly what we wanted but it might be fun to have a higher end option. Overall if you want good food with great value this is the tour for you.

First of all the communication with Traveller Tours has been very good. They trips were not sure yet, but they informed me well about the situation. Finaly i booked a trip to Lahemaa N.P. with 5 other guys and Liine as our Tour Guide. It was a great day in a wonderful winter landscape. Everything was fine. Liine has been very flexible. "One way ride to Mazsalaca"

We travelled from Tallin to a small town in Latvia’s north, Mazsalaca. 5 of us and our guide Liine through a wintery, dramatic landscape. It was one of the best trips ever because as we drove Liine gave us a history lesson that was so wonderful and clear and interesting that even the teenagers were enthralled. Suddenly we were no longer just in a bus, we were part of the crusades or part of the war. It’s not an exaggeration to say that we looked at the world around us with new eyes. "Loved the break from museums and historical sites"

Traveller Tours and Lline, our guide, were incredible. Booking was easy and convenient (all via email). We picked the Lahemaa National Park tour and Lline allowed us to make some modifications based on our interests. The national park was beautiful and my children loved the break from museums and historical sites. As we traveled through the the forest and bogs, Lline did a magnificent job telling us stories of Estonia, it's myths and legends; she pointed out flowers, moss etc. used in traditional medicine. It was absolutely wonderful! We then went to visit an abandoned soviet submarine demagnetization base. Lline's descriptive narrative made the base come alive - it was eerie yet fascinating. Our next stop was lunch at a great local restaurant near the Old Town, free from the mass of tourists. We then went on a walking tour of the Old Town. Lline pointed out interesting things in the city that we would have missed had we gone on a self guided tour. We ended our day knowing more about Estonia, appreciating its history and culture and yearning to return for more. Of all the tours we took on our Baltic cruise, this was by far, our favorite. Tip: Estonia has the highest quality handmade items and the prices are very reasonable. This is the place to buy unique gifts.

"I have no words, you just have to try this"

Did the husky experience. I don't have the words, you just have to try this. The Dogs were so awesome and super friendly and cute huskies (from all over the world, as we were told. The one I got was from Latvia, her name was Enna) and the family running the place was so nice and welcoming. Ploughing through snow with dogs is somehow a primal experience. At the end of it we were exhausted but super happy. A must activity in winter!

The Tallinn Ghost Tour is one of the most marvellous things to do in Tallinn! Our tour guide Liine was a fantastic storyteller and did a great job! It was great fun and very interesting to meet all the real ghosts of Tallinn old town (special regards to the ghost in the Swedish embassy :) )

Our group of four arranged for a private tour. Our guide, Liine, a young university student with excellent English and command of idioms, was full of meaningful details and comments. We were interested in Tallinn during the Soviet period. Liine had much to say including an impressive command of history from the Teutonic Knights til the recent independence. Thank you, Liine, for making our trip to Tallinn so exceptional. Cost: 4 persons, 3 hrs., 100 Euros.

We had less than a day to spend in Tallinn. So decided to take a short walking tour of the city. Our guide named Liine was very informative, funny and efficient. She took us around the main parts of the city with small stops in between, to tell us the history of the city. It was really enjoyable. I will recommend this tour to anyone taking a short trip to Estonia.

"I was more than happy to tip"

We did the tour yesterday Feb 19 with the fantastic Liine. I would highly recommend going on it. In 2 hours we did a thorough circuit through old town & got an entertaining insight into the history of Estonia & Tallin as well is its key monuments & buildings.

Tallinn is wonderful and walking around with Liin, who is a great guide, has given our trip a precious touch. She is a talent in telling stories in a humourous but competent way, her English is fluent and high level. Thank you Liinn, we will be back to find out more.

I did the walking tour with Liine in early February, it was snowing and cold but her stories were interesting and were well worth it! Actually the snow made it kind of beautiful... The guides on free tours are always more fun and making a greater effort so in the end you tip them happily, even more than you'd pay for a normal tour. Thanks Liine!

We just finished the tour with our guide liine. Although it was snowing we did not mind the cold weather, the stories made it all worth it. And of course the hot chocolate afterwards. Best thing to do to get to know the city in a short time. Greetings!

Liine showed us around Tallinn Old Town on Dec 31st. She spoke excellent English with a wonderful sense of humour that made our experience particularly enjoyable. She was very knowledgeable and imparted just enough detail on buildings, history and events to give us the information without over-loading our heads with too much detail. However, when detail was requested Liine was always forthcoming. I would wholeheartedly recommend this trip.

Tallinn was a great place with friendly people and Liina was no exception. The walk revealed places we had missed during our stay, both her energetic and knowledgeable way of explaining tales and legends was exceptional. recommend this to anyone but be aware there are plenty of steps and cobbles.

We went on the ghost tour in Tallinn in August 2014. Liina was an amazing tour gide, she's a very good story teller!! Also she has a nice sense of humor. We've already been two days in Tallinn, but during the tour we saw new interesting places. Afterwards we went together to Pierres Cholocats for a nice cup of hot chocolat! Price, including the drink, was 13 euro and well worth it!

"Awesome ghost tour, despite the lack of darkness"

A little minus was the fact that during summertime it's not really dark by 8pm. Maybe it could be a little bit later? But the lack of darkness did in no way ruin the tour atmosphere thanks to the great storytelling! The stories were interesting and spooky at the same time and found out lots of interesting things about Tallinn Old town. Totally worth the 13€, plus the hot chocolate at the end of the tour was amazing. Can totally recommend the tour!

Our visit to Tallinn was a highlight of our 2 week vacation. Our guide, Linna, was fantastic...one of the best we have had among many tours in Europe. She was friendly and engaging. Our kids loved all of her stories....especially the ghost stories! Our group encompassed 3 generations...from 9 years old to 77 and everyone had a great time! We liked this tour in particular with both the biking and walking components.
