"Great way to get from Riga to Vilnius"

Scenic, informative, comfortable way to get to Vilnius from Riga. Van was comfy, drive good, albeit long with 4 stops along way. I would suggest tour company drop Kaunas so you get there faster and add the interior Palace tour to trip instead of Gardens ( even if upping overall tour price by 10 euro). Driver was informative and helpful though for me ,on occasion, drove too fast.

"Tallinn to Riga"

The tour was nice, however we didn’t get to Riga till almost 9pm. Everything thing felt delayed and time consuming. We loved seeing Cesis Castle and Viljandi town. The national park could have been cut out to save time. If they could make the tour shorter to arrive at 6 or 7pm in time for dinner then I would highly recommend this as it is such a long day and when we arrived most dinner places were already closed.

This tour was a must for us. We learned a lot from the Latvian an Estonian culture and history. Kullo, our guide, gave us a masterclass of history and geopolitics. It was amazing. My sons and me enjoyed so much. All we visit during our way to Tallin was beautiful. The Ice Park for training in Latvia, The Gauja Park, the detailled explanation about the sandstones and clifts, Cesis Castle, the frozen lake, the swing in the last stop we had. Kullo took the time to explain everything in detail and give us a great and unforgetable living and learning experience. 100% recommended. Best way of traveling from Riga to Tallin and know you were not going to see on the regular bus or plane.

"Eclectic sites in a fascinating area"

We had a tour with Kullo, who took us to Viljandi, a bog right near the Estonian/Latvian border, lunch at Valmiermuižas alus darītava, and the bobsled track at Sigulda. The bog was fascinating, as we'd never visited an area like that before. At Sigulda, we saw an actual competition, with Skeleton athletes flying by at 120km per hour. Kullo gave us a ton of historic information about Estonia and its people, and we learned quite a bit along our drive. Overall we had a great time.

We had a great trip from Riga to Vilnius on the sightseeing tour bus. Our driver Matiss was a bit of a legend- he drove safely and gave us lots of information about the stops on the way. He dropped us to the door of our accommodation which was really appreciated. He even came back and brought something to us that we had left behind on the van. He also gave us great recommendations for things to do and places to eat. Can I actually rate the trip 6 stars??? ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We had a lovely drive with Kullo and learned about the history of Estonia and Latvia. As there were just two of us, we had some choices with regard to the places we visited. We stopped at Viljandi and visited the castle, walked through a lovely forest and saw the sand cliffs, stopped for a delicious Latvian lunch and visited the bobsled track. He was willing to take us more places too. In all, it was a great way to see the countryside and get from Tallinn to Riga!

Did a private tour from Vilnius to Riga, luggage and all. Definitely worth the drive to see the countryside and the sites listed. Hill of Crosses was worth it alone! "Wonderful PRIVATE Tour Riga-Parnu-Tallinn"

I highly recommend making this a private tour to enable flexibility. My guide and I were able to take the time we wanted to see the sights. Parnu was fabulous, not many tourists from outside of the Baltics visit, but I highly recommend! Kullo was great! He was on time, kind, and provided just the right information about Estonia - sometimes guides can be info overload - I felt Kullo provided me with a fabulous dose of history and cultural facts during our day long trek!

Great way to travel between cities, seeing places of interest on the way that are hard to see without a vehicle with our well informed guide/driver, Johanna. Taste local food and beverages with a great lunch stop. Highly recommend this tour transfer method.

Rather than a boring bus ride along a highway between Tallinn and Riga, our family joined Kullo for a wonderful tour through some of the most interesting and beautiful parts of Estonia and Latvia. From lovely old castle towns with their interesting histories and architecture, to a walk through a nature reserve and the bobsled track with a group of youngsters practising. Lunch along the way at a microbrewery was also a well placed (and yummy 😋). Guide Kullo was passionate and knowledgeable, and being local, gave great perspective on both what we were seeing and the history that sat behind it. A long and brilliant day!!

"Unexpected journey on 2, October 2025"

Initially,just take it as a normal travel trip by bus as usual. Finally it became an expected trip for the whole day! The driver/guilde arranged the view points and time schedules perfectly so we all forgot the long day trip in comfortable van. We have lunch in a traditional restaurant with beautiful views. We still have chance to see the beautiful sunset in Kanas. Thanks for the driver/guild so much as he dropped us to the hostel one by one when arriving in dark night! Strongly recommend this trip to anyone who plan to Vilnius from Riga!

"Enjoyable trip between Riga and vilnius"

We left Riga on time and we visited 4 sights during our 11 hour journey-salapils memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. All 4 sights were very interesting and we would be hard pressed to do it ourselves in a day. We also stopped for lunch in a nice Lithuanian restaurant. Our guide Matiss (Matthew?) was knowledgeable and a good driver. He would share the history of each location and leave us with sufficient time to explore on our own. We were expecting to find our way to our accommodation on arrival at Vilnius but he dropped us off instead. I would highly recommend taking this trip (and the similar Tallinn to Riga) if you are traveling between these cities, don’t fancy driving but still want to visit some sights and see some of the country.

Never a boring moment with Laura ,as she toured our group of 7 from Riga to Lithuania. She made us glued to the scenery, history,and culture of the places we visited. We loved our drive from Riga to Vilnius with Laura. She was incredibly energetic and enthusiastic about her home country Lithuania! We stopped at several places along the way that were just wonderful and so historical, Salaspils memoriāls, Rundales Palace, Hill of Crosses, Kaunas, and Trakai Castle! There are a lot of renovations being done at both Kaunas (in the square) and at Trakai Castle - just a heads up before visiting!

"Enlivened sightseeing bus"

This has been one of my best sightseeing experiences yet! I'd recommend this as an alternative way of covering Estonian to Latvian towns than the regular bus or train ride. Johanna is a great tour guide and kept the ride from Tallinn to Riga quite interesting with her personal and enthusiastic opinions of history and culture meshed into her delivery of her knowledge of the different areas we went to- Viljandi, Cesis, Ganja National Park, among others that we visited. I wish the operator can also provide the guides with a terminal in case anyone wishes to pay tips by card.

Brilliant trip - Kaunas was a pleasant place to pass an hour, the Hill of Crosses was jaw-dropping, Rundale Palace was very pretty and the Salispils Memorial a thought-provoking end. I had an excellent day traveling from Riga to Tallin. We got to see so many things that I would have missed if I took a train or direct bus. I would highly recommend this tour if you want to see some of the beautiful countryside in Latvia and Estonia and get a deeper insight into each country.

"City transfer with history and sightseeing fun"

Our guide, Johanna, showed up in a large comfortable van and we left Tallinn through back road passes to our first destination, a small Estonian town of Viljandi, we park by a tall Lutheran Church, which we step into. Then we continue to the ruins of a castle along a river. We see several cats a thing that they Estonians do is the city may pick a native animal and they make concrete structures out of them as their road blocks in the city. We’ve seen pigeons and snails as these concrete friends. It’s a nice walk through the area and we head back to the vehicle. We have a walk through a forest, the Gauja National Forest, where our guide talks to us about forging for mushrooms and blueberries. Lots of pine trees and spruce. Estonia is known for Christmas trees. We visit Ceces a beautiful city where we have time to sightsee for 50 minutes of our own time which we used to go walk through the Church, old castle, Orthodox Church, the new castle, and through the quaint town. For lunch a brewery buffet, inexpensive yet delicious collection of local dishes and the beer is amazing. Suggest trying the honey beer and the unfiltered beer it pairs well with the sausage. Our final stop is at the Sigulda Bob sled Course outside of Riga designed by the Soviets. We walk down much of the path. Along the way Johanna provided informative commentary on the area, culture, and history. Johanna provided a thesis worthy history of Estonia and Latvia from pagan time to modern talking about how they have been slaves and peasants for millennium. Ruled by Swedish, Danes, and the Russians for centuries. The last was the Russians during World War I And when they had their revolution, the countries declared independence, but it lasted only hours as the Russians declared war. Estonia won their independence from Russia, but it was short-lived until World War II when in 1940 the Russians made a deal with the Nazis and took control of the Baltics. Then the Germans invaded and followed again by the Soviets until 1989. One Stop along the way, she talked about the Baltic Way where the brave countrymen held hands in millions in 1989 indicating that they should be free. It’s one of the best trips really fun. She had a lot of discussions about the area food, the use of sauna in their culture, you can’t go wrong with this tour and we lucked out having the best tour guide, Johanna.

"Amazing Opportunity To Travel Off The Beaten Path From Riga To Tallinn!"

This was such a fantastic experience & a really enriching way to travel from two capital cities avoiding the dull highway or public transport. Such a rich texture of places visited including rural villages & town, forest & beyond. Johanna especially made our trip as engaging as possible & it was a real treat to be part of a small group to maximise her time & knowledge of the two countries. 100% would do this again & can't recommend traveller tours enough!

We decided to take the transfer tour Riga because we had such a great time with Johanna on the Lahemma National Park tour. The transfer tour was brilliant. We had a great guide in Kullo who shared his impressive knowledge of the history of Estonia and Latvia. The bonus was that he also is an expert on everything in the natural world, which transformed our visit to the bog into a voyage of discovery. What a great way to travel from Riga to Tallinn. Of course you can do it quicker but this combined a history lesson, sightseeing as well as personal insights. This was a great day, and for me (who I did not have a rental car) the perfect way of combining transfer with discovering the beautiful countryside and sights between Vilnius and Riga. It was great to discover less touristy places such as Kaunas and the memorial site outside of Riga, and also to see the Hill of Crosses which is otherwise so hard to reach by public transport. The trip was hugely enhanced by our guid Ruta who was very knowledgeable and provided a really insightful local (Latvian) perspective on the region.

Definitely worth taking the tour. Got to stop at places we wouldn’t have otherwise. Trip takes a lot longer than the direct bus, but it was worth it. The descriptions at the sites were pretty limited but enough. Just don’t expect a running commentary of the countryside as you’re getting there. But we were in the van, and the van driver was not a regular tour guide. The regular tour guide was in her car with three other people. So they might’ve had a different experience. But I’m glad they were able to fit us in. Otherwise, we would’ve taken a regular bus and would’ve missed these sites.

For six of us, we hired a private Traveller tour to drive us from Tallinn to Riga, with sightseeing along the way. Our tour guide Kert was great! We didn't want the full 12 hour tour, so he worked with us to visit the sandstone cliffs in Gauja National Park and the stunning Cesis castle. We stopped at a brewery for a delicious lunch. Kert was very knowledgeable and friendly. We would definitely recommend this tour and this tour company to learn about Estonia and Latvia.

Unless you're in a big hurry and don't care about anything between Riga and Tallinn, this is the perfect way to move from one city to the other. The van is comfortable, the route is beautiful, and the guide/driver is truly outstanding, very interesting and personable.

We had a great time transferring for Tallin to Riga. Hanna-Liia was our guide and driver. She was a perfect driver. We felt super safe the whole time. The van was in great shape and had strong AC. She played fun "folk" music that we have never heard before. At each stop she fully explained the history of the sights. The stops were just long enough to enjoy them. Hanna-Liia also had a great sense of humor. The lunch spot was perfect with good food choices and high quality beer on tap. We also got to hear a personal account about living in the Baltics from Hanna-Liia. If you have the time I highly recommend that you take this transfer tour.

I booked the tour specifically because most of the stops were not so easily accessible by public transport. I really enjoyed it - our guide Ruta made sure to answer any questions and gave interesting insights into Baltic history. The times spent at each stop were adequate I think. It's a long day but very worth it, do it if you are thinking about it.

The tour was well planned. It’s the best way to travel from Vilnius to Riga or vice versa. A lot of spots which we would want to cover and are difficult to cover by public transport are covered in this tour. The tour guide Ruta was very knowledgeable and was so friendly. As a local she has suggested great places in Riga as well. As it’s a mini van and not a big tour bus it doesn’t get boring and we get to interact with a a lot of people

"Opportunity to see some quirky landmarks "

Tour is an exceptional opportunity to see outside of the big cities and experience other landmarks you might not get to easily. I learned a lot on this trip. Our guide seemed knowledgeable, enjoyed traveling with us and gave us good tips for food. It might not be the culture in these parts of the world but it could be good to create an online opportunity or follow up for clients to give a tip if they wish. Many people don't carry much cash anymore so could be something to consider. It's not a requirement but certainly not a bad idea.

This was a very good tour and a creative way to see the country. We enjoyed the sights and the guide was very knowledgeable and helpful. We wished she had a microphone in the van because we couldn't hear her comments when people had questions. I would have LOVED more details on history, life in Estonia and Latvia (anything from day to day life, nature, foods, climate, language etc--although some of these topics might be "normal" to you, it is all new for visitors and very interesting to us. She always knew everything we asked her and answered questions thoroughly.

We came across this trip by accident, while looking for an ordinary bus to Riga, and we are so glad we did. Such a fun trip with a really great group of people. The minibus was relatively new and very clean, and our guide, Hanna-Liia, gave us a very warm welcome. The journey was broken up by a number of well-chosen stops in Estonia and Latvia, which let us see a bit more of the countries and learn a little about the history and culture of both. Hanna-Liia provided us with all the information we could possible want and introduced us to some fabulous Estonian folk music too. Our guide Laura was amazing. She was so knowledgeable, teaching us along the route about Lithuanian and Latvian, history, culture, and language. We were two Americans, and the other two guests were from Hong Kong and Singapore. We all had such fun conversations throughout the trip! The places we stopped were interesting, beautiful, and often very moving, and we had ample time to explore each one. The van was very nice and comfortable. The original meeting spot seemed a bit unclear at first, but we called the customer service number and got the help we needed to find our guide. We felt the price of the tour was very reasonable and well worth it! We very highly recommend this tour and this company! They are all-around excellent!

So fun! My sons (18 and 21) and I traveled with the tour. Our guide was from the region and added a great personalization to the tour and the stops. The day flew by with interesting places to see that we would have missed driving ourselves. Take a raincoat and wear comfortable shoes -- you'll have a great time.

Pick-up in Riga was on time, Johanna welcomed us to the tour and fortunately she was such an easy-going guide - we chatted 10 hours non-stop and got on well from the word go. The bus was comfortable and clean, Johanna a careful driver and a very knowledgeable guide, answering all our questions. The stops along the way were worthwhile, from the bob-sledge track in Sigulda, Cesis with its medieval character and a nice walk in the Gauja National Park - all amazing. The stop in Vijandi was equally interesting as was the stop at a local brewery for lunch. Arrival was exactly on time as planned All in all, excellent tour with an excellent guide - wish there was more of them :). Well done Traveller Tours, we"ll use you again if in the vicinity.

Estonia and Latvia beautiful countries. We saw some interesting places. Laura our guide is very knowledgeable and fun. The only thing I did not care for was the choice of restaurant for lunch called Lilli in Valga. It was not authentic but also very expensive!!! Turistic. I am sure there are more restaurants on the way with typical food and fair prices.

We decided to drive instead of taking the train from Tallinn to Riga to see the countryside. Kullo was a great guide and gave us lots of information - we stopped in Viljandi and had a great tour - I would suggest maybe having an early lunch here as we didn’t end up eating till after 3pm. It was a long day but worth it!

With only one night in each city, there is no way we would have visited the places we did on this tour independently, due to both time and logistics. Sten was a great guide- friendly, informative, and always checking on our comfort. The Easter weekend meant a change to the usual itinerary- instead we visited 6 places, each interesting and worth a stop. Viljandi and Cesis are pleasant, small towns with castles, Gauja National Park is a stunning natural landscape and Straupe was fascinating. We also had a fun stop at the border, in a remote rural area, and a fantastic buffet lunch at a nice brewery. A very relaxing day with some great stops and lots learned about Estonian and Latvian culture. The vehicle was very comfortable and Sten is a great driver. I can't recommend this highly enough- well worth considering as a transport option if you have the time!

A fantastic tour, such a great way to get from Tallinn to Riga and see places we never would have got to on our own. The itinerary had to be changed due to it being a public holiday so the military museum and bobsleigh were closed, but the replacement stops were interesting, and our guide Sten was very knowledgeable about the history and culture of both countries. He found us a great buffet restaurant for lunch too where we tried some interesting food that we wouldn't have ordered normally. Would highly recommend.

The tour guide, Ruta, was very informative, very friendly, nice and did do her best to provide interesting facts and details of the sights in the tour. She is very knowledgeable and passionate which helps you truly experience the places you see. The downside was that we had the tour around the holidays and most of the sights were closed, We missed the soviet era museum, as it was also closed, which we were quite excited about. We were upset because no one informed us in advance, that everything would be closed, to decide if the cost of the tour is worth it for us considering. (It is not common knowledge especially as practices differ from country to country) Be sure to check if things are open when you plan to visit.

Our guide Laura was very enthusiastic throughout our whole trip! Also very knowledgeable - I will thoroughly recommend! I think travelling from Riga to Vilnius through this option is the most value for money as well. For places like Hill of Crosses - you’d have spent a lot of time going there from Vilnius. But for the sightseeing bus, it was something like a pit stop! Sightseeing while travelling, it was the best of both worlds!

I had an awesome time on my tour from Riga to Tallinn. Going in December meant that I got to see the snowy countryside. From the beautiful bobsleigh track and the spectacular views there to visiting Castle ruins, beautiful small towns and the pretty city of Parnu. During my trip we also fortunately had the flexibly to visit a bog as well which was a truly stunning experience. I 100% recommend to anyone wishing to explore the Latvian and Estonian countryside!

The tour was a perfect way to see more of Latvia and Lithuania than we otherwise would have from a bus, which was the other option to travel between the two cities. She had the five of us comfortable as a group within fifteen minutes of leaving the meeting place. The van was comfortable, and the chosen sightseeing stops were varied and interesting, and perfect for breaks.

We enjoyed our trip from Tallinn to Riga. The van was comfortable, with 7 passengers. We left Tallinn on time and arrived in Riga about 45 minutes earlier than scheduled. The stops were spread out and our guide, Rita, was conscientious about bathroom stops. She provided great info along the way and was very easy to talk to. The War Museum was closed, and that was a bit of a disappointment but Ruta found an alternative place to visit. Yes, it was a long day, but we were pleased with our decision.

This is a long day but very interesting and so much better than flying or traveling via bus. We stopped at Kaunas, Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils. I really like this idea of sightseeing from one place to another. I have travelled the world and been from country to country. I think it is clever and great to have this option rather than just taking a bus from one place to another. I was able to see a lot of sites that I wouldn’t have been able to go to due to time constraints. Ruta was knowledgeable and friendly. The van was comfortable as there were only 6 of us rather than 8. The restaurant we stopped at served delicious food with reasonable prices. The sites we stopped at were relevant and we had enough time considering it was just a day tour. Definitely recommend this tour!

"A fun way to cross from Tallinn to Riga"

My wife and I had a fantastic experience with this Daytrip from Tallinn to Riga. Anna was an excellent driver and guide. It was a wonderful way to travel between Tallinn and Riga, allowing us to visit places that we would definitely not go on our own . Some of the highlights included the Estonian castle in Viljandi, the Latvian castle in Cesis, and an Estonian national standing swing in Viljandi. We also enjoyed a hike along a river in a Latvian national park, visited a military museum in Valga, and saw the national bobsleigh track in Sigulda. Throughout the journey, Anna shared the rich history of Estonia and Latvia from the Middle Ages onward, making the trip very educational. We also stopped to have lunch and taste local food and drinks. Overall, it was an informative and enjoyable way to travel between Riga and Tallinn.

My van is good. The staff is kind and professinal. Lunch is delicious and not expensive. The programe is sufficient. Usually one day tour from Riga to Rundale palace is 60-80€ and one day tour from Vilnius to hill of crosses is about 50-60euro. So it is a most valueable way to transfer from Riga to Vilnius.

Great guide kept the tour running smoothly. Unusual one way tour but a great way to get between Tallinn and Riga and see places tourists do not usually see across two countries. Highlights included Estonian castle at Viljandi - Latvian castle at Cesis - Estonian national type of standing swing at Viljandi - a hike along a river in the Latvian national park - a military museum in Valga - the national bobsleigh track at Sigulda. The guide Sten told us about the history of the two countries from the muddle ages as the tour progressed. Very informative way to travel berween Riga and Tallinn

We really enjoyed this tour! We don't drive, which made it challenging when planning a trip that would take us to all of the key places we wanted to visit in Latvia and Lithuania. This tour was perfect because it took us to many of those places while also moving us along to Vilnius, the next stop on our Baltic journey! Laura, our tour guide, was great. She is energetic and kept the tour moving along with the perfect amount of time to visit each place. If you unfortunately fell asleep in the car (jet lag, not boredom!), you didn't miss important details, as she saved the key facts for our stops to see the various sites. Laura somehow remembered everyone's names! There was a good variation in the types of sites we visited. A must see for us was the Hill of Crosses, and we were glad we saw it! We were also glad to visit the Salaspils Memorial and the Rundale Palace. It's hard to choose, but my favourite place we visited was Kaunas. We took this tour in December, so the Christmas Market there was a site to see, especially lit up at night! This was a jam-packed day, but a great way to travel between Riga and Vilnius and see unique sites along the way. We highly recommend this tour or the same tour in the other direction.

It was a great road trip and our guide the beautiful artistic Hanna did a great job despite the problems presented to her by the roadworks ongoing in front of our hotel. Vlidjani was beautiful , lunch was delicious Gauja with its forest and stream and sandstones was serene and quite magnificent and Celcis with its castle and tales was interesting with delicious pastries and tasty tea. We were restricted to one possible tour date, and Traveller Tours (TT) went the extra mile to accommodate our needs. (A big shout-out to Kerda in the office for making it happen!) 5 stars! Ivar, also excelled in his role as Tour Guide (TG). He ensured we arrived safely at all the promised venues, and provided valuable history and information about each. 5 stars! However, our late October tour date meant it was dark when we reached a couple of tour destinations. Fortunately, that didn't matter for our visit to "the only Bobsleigh Track in the Baltics"; where we got to see a number of international teams practicing! But, taking in "the sights of the medieval Old Town in Cēsis", was sadly impacted by the reduced daylight hours - and because most of the Old Town had closed for the day. 2 stars. Of course, neither TT nor the TG, can control the weather, road conditions or the number of daylight hours - so no direct blame there. Nonetheless, if you are not touring in summer, and are determined to see a particular venue, you may want to ask [in advance] about the likelihood of that happening in daylight. Or maybe ask whether your Tour could start earlier - and [hopefully] finish before dark? That said, we would definitely recommend this tour to others visiting Estonia and Latvia.

The guide was excellent and the places we visited gave more insight into this wonderful country as opposed to travelling by train (difficult to impossible) or bus (quicker but boring). I can't recommend this tour enough. We were a group of 8 women traveling together, and this transfer tour made the process of moving all of us (and all of our luggage) from one city to the other not just completely painless, but also genuinely enjoyable. Loved it. 4 of us drove from Tallinn to Riga with Ivar. He picked us up at our hotel in Tallinn. We made a stop at a historic town, for a lovely lunch on the border, a wonderful national park for a short hike through the woods and to see the sandstone cliffs, and at the bobsled track. Ivar was very interesting to talk with and gave us loads of information. It was a long day but we got to see some of the countryside of both countries which was exactly what we wanted.

This is the best way to see both countries more than just the capital cities and it's the most time-efficient way. So much better than a boring bus ride if you go direct between the 2 cities. We booked this tour when all other buses were booked—so we mainly just needed transportation. The stops were pretty good but I didn’t need the military museum in Valga. We were rained out of Cesis but the town looked lovely. There was no commentary while we were driving which is fine. It would have helped to have more information at each stop before we left the van so we could be prepared for what to bring—for example, we’ll take a 30 minute walk and then come back to the bus. We would then know to bring binoculars, water, etc.

My husband, 5 kids and I thoroughly enjoyed our day traveling with Ivar. It was a great value for us—not only did he pick us up right outside our Airbnb and took us to some fun stops, but he also found us a delicious lunch stop, helped us locate bathrooms and then a convenience store stop later on so the kids could get sodas and a treat. He was fun, patient and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this experience to anyone traveling from Estonia to Latvia!

Mikelis is a very friendly, knowledgeable and entertaining guide. He has an encyclopaedic grasp of the history of the places we saw en route: Salaspils Memorial, Rundala Palace, Hill of Crosses, Kaunas. Mikelis even sang Latvian songs to us! The time flew by.

Excellent tour to explore beautiful sights on the way from city to another. Laura was the most accomodating guide, she gave us good introductions to all of the sights before we went to explore them independently. Timing was spot on, did not feel rushed and even though this is a full day trip, it was not as exausting as I though before booking. We booked the Riga to Tallinn sight-seeing tour. There were a total of six passengers which made the ride very comfortable. Laura was our amazing guide. She is very energetic and fun. It is obvious she loves her country and her job. She gave us a lot of history of both Latvia and Estonia and all of the stops along the way. We were delighted to see Mike at the Riga meeting point since he had recently escorted us from Tallinn to Riga. Mike has a good singing voice and is spontaneous with his stories. Like any good story teller, he does not let you know at the beginning that he is going into story mode. The weather cooperated with our journey. Although Mike did not have to deliver us our hotel, he surprised us again by doing just that. It is a wonderful way to enjoy sights while enjoying the weather, Mike's stories, and seeing interesting sights along the way. What a nice combination to create a terrific travel memory.

The tour was absalutely fantastic. I highly reccomend it. A brilliant way to get from One City in one country to another. The tour included 3 castles, a national park a military museum and a bobsleigh track a fab mix of things. We were a small group of 4 plus the tour guide which was a good size fore me. As a solo traveller it was lovely to have a whole day spent with other travellers and not have to do the planning I just had to enjoy it. Our guide Mike was lovely really easy going told us lots of info about each place and interesting personal history too. Its really great value for money amd pretty much the highlight of my trip so far.

Overall, an excellent way to transfer from Tallinn to Riga. Lots of history, stories and laughs. Might be nice to stop briefly at the bicycle training area, which we passed along the way. Also, military museum was closed which should have been known in advance. Church wss closed so we could only see from outside. Lunch location was great, which is right after military museum. Because it got dark early, bob sledding track was dark but we did visit as it is last stop before Riga. We had private tour. Mikelis was excellent tour guide with clear English and wonderful stories. Marii arranged this private tour on short notice because we were the only passengers on our booked group tour. Just slight adjustments should have been made for church and military museum being closed. Because this wss private tour, Millie picked us up at Tallinn hotel and dropped us at our Riga hotel, even carrying the luggage into the hotel for us.

We drove with two other passengers. Good conversations. Stoped at many interesting sites. The military museum was unnecessary. The two castles and national park and bobsled track were wonderful. The total trip, though, took too long. A little less time at some places would be good. We left at 9 am and arrived 9pm. An hour earlier would have been better. Mike was a good guide and fun company.

We took the trip on August 26th and it was well worth it as was the trip from Vilnius to Riga. There is temptation to just see the 3 Baltic capitals but this is a mistake. These trips enable you to see more of the 3 countries. This tour had 5 different u Interesting stops plus an excellent lunch at a brewery. Mike the guide was excellent. Highly recommended

"The absolute best way to travel from city to city"

Our guide Laura was very welcoming, knowledgeable and successful in making us excited to visit Lithuania for the first time. The day tour was great value for money in my opinion much better than just catching a coach. We saw interesting stops between Riga + Vilnius that we would have totally missed otherwise. It was a small bus so you were never waiting around for other people. The lunch stop was good, no complaints. Ps traveller tours are really good to deal with, any issues that arise their team are really responsive and professional.

When travelling between the Baltic capitals its tempting to take the quickest route but that would be a mistake. Instead for a bit more money take the guided sight seeing mini bus / people carrier and see more of Lithuania and Latvia. The vehicle was very comfortable but the highlight was our guide Laura. This was a great way to see a little of both Latvia and Lithuania other than the cities, and was made even better by Laura, who had more energy for 12 hours straight than you could possibly imagine. This was my second tour and there were four of us who previously took the Tallinn-Riga bus two days earlier. The only downside is that the lunch restaurant ran out of beer, which I think may have been a capital offense in Lithuania, although the venison sausages were delicious.

A great day with a high energy tour guide. As a solo traveller, spending the day with 8 other people seeing the sights (but with no responsibility) is a great break from my average holiday day walking around, plus you get the the next city on the Helsinki-Tallinn-Riga-Vilnius route that seems to be very, very popular (at least half of the people on my tour were following that route.) Highly recommend! (You should be selling Bobsled/Luge track tshirts, though!)

We traveled from Vilnius to Riga with Laura. The meeting point is not clearly described, a map with an X would be helpful. Luckily Laura was searching around for people. Kaunas (1 hour is too short), Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace and Salaspils are great stops. Laura is a good driver and a bottomless pit of energy. Hope to meet you again some day.

Very informative and enthusiastic guide who drove us across Vilnius to Riga. Ride was comfortable and spacious. Best of all, this was a great way to see Hill of Crosses without the logistical headache. Love to see more of these countries in the near future!

I was a little nervous about booking this option for traveling from Riga to Vilnius. I was a solo traveler in my sixties who doesn’t like tours. I shouldn’t have been nervous at all. It was a wonderful way to make the trip, and to see a few things in between. Our guide, Laura, was just delightful — giving us the background of every site we stopped at and, of course, telling us why her hometown of Vilnius was the most wonderful place in the world. The places we stopped — the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses, and Kaunas — were varied and interesting. Sufficient time was allotted at each, and we arrived in Vilnius around 8PM, which at least in my mind was perfect. I recommend this.

Our guide / driver was excellent, would highly recommend. Numerous stops along the way, their is some light hiking involved so this trip is not suitable for mobility issues. Would a recommend bringing snacks and water, it is a very long 12h day. The lunch stop was superb after crossing border to Estonia however this comes late in the day 2-3pm.

I'm a huge fan of transfer tours, even though they are long days, you get to see and do so much! Laura our guide was lovely and flexible in terms of how/where we spent time (though I would suggest some quiet time in the van as too much music can make it hard to relax/ doze off on the road). I really appreciated the way Laura communicates history in a way that we could understand and remember - we learnt a lot! :) The hill of crosses was a surprisingly interesting stop and we got to see the roses blooming at Rundale. First of all: even if the weather is harsh, don't hesitate to take part in this tour! The guide was funny and knowledgeable, and definitely contributed to make this trip even more pleasant. It's been raining with high wind for most of the day, but, honestly, this made even more interesting the experience at Salaspils and the Hill of Crosses. Of course, if you want to fully enjoy the Rundāle Palace Garden with all of its flowers, it is better to book the tour for a sunny day in May or June. St Peter and St Paul Cathedral in Kaunas is literally a piece of jewelry. All highly recommended!

Laura our guide was absolutely fantastic. This is a must do if you're travelling between the Baltic capitals. Let's you see sights that you would need a rental car to see and turns a mundane bus trip into a great day of sight seeing. Riga to Vilnius was great, highlights were the rose garden at the Baltic version of versailles. Also had a fabulous lunch at a deer farm Audruvis. Restoranas. The venison carpaccio and beet soup were spot on.

Laura was a passionate and knowledgeable guide. We visited several sites of interest between Tallinn and Riga - so much better than flying or just sitting on a bus - and good value for money. Our kids (8 and 10) managed the trip fine, despite it being a really long day (11 hours). I certainly recommend this trip. The only reason I score 4 rather than 5 stars is because I didn't get quite as much from the places that we visited as I did from the Riga - Vilnius trip (we did this a couple of days later), but that's a personal preference!

Very interesting and well paced tour. Mike was a fantastic guide giving us all the historical and/or political background of places visited. Hill of Crosses an amazing singular place and holocaust site very moving. Loved the rose gardens at Rundale Palace and we were given tour of an old Baltic Church in Bauska by an elderly parishioner. Mike was a great guide, we loved hearing about the Singing Revolution & also the many songs he sang us in his beautiful bass voice. Highly recommend tour.

Interesting, instructive, fun and very complete tour with Mikelis! I booked the tour because of the program and the reviews were good but I did not expect it to be THAT good. Thank you so much for this tour - I've been telling all my friends to travel to the Baltic countries and use your company to travel from one capital to the next. Mike was a brilliant guide who could answer all questions (sorry, Mike but you were just too good so I had to ask that many), make the complicated history understandable and we forgot the time (12 hours with 7 strangers could have felt like a very long day but the hours flew by). One major regret: the tour from Riga to Vilnius was fully booked and I could not do this again.

Such a fun trip from Riga to Tallinn. I’m so glad we had enough people to do the tour as I can’t imagine my Baltics trip without it. All of the stops along the way are “must see” so this is an excellent way to do a road trip but with a local guide. Laura was so energetic and fun and really exuded love for her homeland and knowledge of the history. We paid to do a quick tour inside Rundale Palace (only the gardens are included in the tour) which is good because it started pouring rain. The time allotted for Kaunas was enough to really take in the old town and see the castle. Highly recommend!

This was the perfect way to travel from Tallinn to Riga. This trip allowed us to visit a wide range of interesting places; which would otherwise be missed. Our tour guide Mike was AMAZING! Knowledgeable - with lots of historical information and folk facts, fun, approachable and a great singing voice! He even accommodated our request to visit the swing on the Estonian/Latvian border and car karaoke! His stories about folklore and references to his own experiences were very valuable. The tour was great. A big shoutout to our guide Mike: he was awesome! He told us many stories about Latvia and Estonia, helped us understanding better the history of these 2 countries, he narrated folk stories about the places we visited, he explained different type of plants and vegetation, etc. he is very knowledgeable and he is also talented: he sang for us a popular song at Viljandi! ( he’s a great at singing!). His English is excellent. The tour was well organized with a good balance between driving time and visiting places. Although the trip is from 9:00 to 21:00, the time went by quickly. Everything was perfect, the only thing I would change is the stop at the War Museum. Although the content is interesting ( and Mike did a great job in explaining things and even shared family stories regarding the Soviet occupation of Latvia) the displays at the museum need some improvement ( the dummies in uniform were a bit outdated) Probably, more time in the nature would be better.

We had such a great time on our tour! This was honestly one of the most fun travel days I’ve ever had. Mike was an excellent and knowledgeable guide with a great sense of humor (and a lovely singing voice to boot.) Why watch the country fly by on a regular bus when you can take a full day road trip instead and see so many amazing sights along the way with a fantastic local guide? A really great way of making the most of crossing the border. It’s really easy to just think of the cities when visiting the Baltic countries, however there are amazing locations outside of the capitals too and this trip is a really easy way to visit these locations. Our driver/ guide Mike was brilliant. He shared just the right amount of information at each stop and was able to answer all of our questions. We did the Riga to Tallinn sightseeing tour. Guide Mikelis took us for a long day full of sightseeing. We departed on time, the guide was there to greet us. The van was spacy, and very comfortable. We were so glad that we could participate, to enjoy the countryside and to see so much more of both Latvia and Estonia. Started at the bobsleigh track which was fun because we could walk down the track on foot. Soooo funny. The national park with the limestone cliffs was crazy beautiful. The guide explained a lot, let us taste some herbs in nature and he even sang for us. The towns of Cesis and Viljandi both were lovely. Had the opportunity to have lunch in a great restaurant in Valga. For us the least Intresting part was the military museum. But the highlight of the day was that we saw a wild brown bear near the woodlands, just beside the road. Incredible!!!!!! Mikelis was also so sweet to make a stop so I could photography one of the many many stork nests near the farms. I cannot recommend this tour enough, but it wouldn't have been as much fun as we didn't had this fantastic guide Mikelis.Thumbs up guys, keep on the good work!

"A fun and interesting way to travel from Vilnius to Riga"

We were a group of eight friends who decided to use this tour to get to Riga. It was a great decision. We got to visit the town of Kaunas that we otherwise wouldn’t have seen. The stop at the Hill of Crosses was both eerie and interesting. We were then lucky to have the most beautiful light when we got to Rundale Palace. Because we travelled in the very late Autumn, the days were short and saw the most beautiful sunset there. Laura, our guide, was enthusiastic and gave a fantastic energy to the whole tour and agreed without hesitation to try to see Salsapils in pitch darkness. Thanks to one of our friend’s strong photography lighting we got to experience this place in a very different way. It was intensely emotional. All in all, we had fun and saw so much more than we would otherwise. For a great price. Thank you!

In the morning when we arrived at the location the tour guide was all ready and good to go. The tour van was comfortable and had nice airconditioning. The tour guide even brought some extra water with her for us. Our tour guide was very excited and energetic, even though it was early in the morning. She also has a good sense of humour. She told us a lot about all kinds of stuff not only history of Latvia and Estonia but also some funny facts about Riga, Estonia and Tallinn. The stops underway are very welcome, not just for stretching your legs but they're also at very nice places where you wouldn't go at first. Liine showed us some sick berry plucking skills. Also the delicious lunch at an extraordinary restaurant was a nice surprise. It is highly recommended to take this tour. You won't be sorry.

I took this tour back in August 2018 and it was wonderful! We travelled from Tallinn to Riga and it was SUCH a good way to get between the two cities. The tour itself was wonderful and honestly one of the highlights of our trip. Everywhere we stopped was super interesting and not somewhere we would have found on our own (especially as we usually stick to the cities). The trip is planned to perfection and our tour guide was so warm and friendly (I think her name was Trina?). She answered every question that was asked of her and was so informative and helpful. I remember researching lots of different ways to travel between the two cities and being unsure of how this trip would go. I am so glad I booked this as I still vividly remember the day now and could not stop singing its praises when I returned home. I would definitely recommend this to everyone who wants an interesting way to travel between the two cities and really get a feel for the surrounding countryside =)

"Wonderful Midsummer excursion"

We had the first tour for Traveller Tours for the season due to coronavirus, and it was wonderful. Because no one else had booked we ended up with a private tour and had Ruta as our guide. She was a smart and kind guide and very patient with our 1 and 3 year olds. She was also proud to be Lithuanian and that was fun to see the Baltic pride and learn from a local. We loved the sights included in the Riga-Vilnius tour and thought the country side of both countries was stunning: lush, green, and in full bloom at this time of year. We were lucky to be ok to travel here from Helsinki and recommend seeing these underrated countries with this excellent tour.

We took a private tour for 4 ladies to travel from Tallinn to Riga. It was very convenience to carry our 4 big luggages and 4 carry on bags door-to-door from our airbnb in Tallinn to airbnb in Riga. We stop at 3 towns with beautiful snow everywhere in Viljandi, Valga & Valka, Cesis. The guide and driver is friendly and did his best to give us information about each place and help us took photos. The cost for 4 persons is €362.

As I understand it, the easiest way to get from Vilnius to Riga is to take a bus, and if all you care about is getting from Point A to Point B, I imagine the bus is fine. But if you are a traveler, and you really want to see more of Lithuania and Latvia than just a brief overview of their capital cities - and if you really want to get an understanding of the countries and the region from people who are from the area - you HAVE to do this sightseeing bus tour! Pickup (and arrival, for that matter) were on-time, but still left the group plenty of time for the scheduled stops (Kaunas; the Hill of Crosses; Rundale Palace). It seems like we had a "bonus" trip, because there was another guide who was actually "playing tourist" that day, so we had two sources of information and opinions to give us the complete story. Very well done, and highly recommended!

My original plan was to just take Lux Express directly to Riga but i thought seeing more of Lithuanian would be awesome so i signed up for the trip. In the end it was the right choice. I was able to explore more places and understand more the history of Lithuania because we had a really good guide and she answered all my questions and gave even more info. "Touring in Winter"

We are seniors and enjoyed this trip, the guide/driver was both entertaining and knowledgeable. We prefer to travel in winter so the tourist numbers are manageable, no queues etc however the down side of this tour is that the sites we stopped at were either closed or we arrived in darkness. The nature walk in Gauja National Park was excellent we arrived during daylight so we explored extensively in the time we had. The Valga military museum was closed but our guide had telephoned ahead and the curator opened the doors to us. It was really interesting a snap shot of what happened in the Soviet era. About ½ hours drive from the Tallinn drop off we visited, in pitch dark the remnants of a castle? We couldn’t take pictures so we don’t really have a record. FYI we travelled Vilnius to Riga by Express LUX bus as the sightseeing tour bus was not available, it was very cheap. €28 single. Punctual and comfortable with Wi-Fi and movies. Frankly we would have cancelled the Riga-Tallinn trip if we had taken the Vilnius - Riga sightseeing tour bus. I bet this is a most lively trip in summer with a full bus! We are glad we did it!

This trip was so much fun. We stoped at the Olympic bobsled track, which was awesome, hiked through part of a national park next to a river, stopped at a war museum and a couple of interesting towns. Lunch was at a local cafe. Our guide was informative and a fun road trip driver. My husband and I really enjoyed our day - long but fun!

We had a great time on the trip. You can really see and enjoy the country side. We loved the bobsled track and the forest hike along with the other stops, except for maybe the military museum. I think that took a little bit away from the trip in truth. They would do better to skip it.

The stops were actually quite boring but I cant blame the tour operator for that. I think however that the visit to the military museum can be replaced with something else. There wasnt much to see and most of it wasnt even in english. Something else to be improved is that the guide should bring us to a good photo stop or viewpoint and allow the group 5 to 10 min to take photos (which he rarely did. Good phototaking spots and viewpoints are also never pointed out). There is no point in just walking from the van to the sight and back again on stop. Those who were taking photos had to play catch up and walk quickly to rejoin the group.

Our guide was super fun and interesting. He presented Estonian and Latvian history in really interesting ways and he shared with us many fun facts. Although the weather wasn’t the best (gray sky and drizzle - but what can you expect in October?), we managed to visit all the places and the gray weather didn’t ruin the impression. Five destinations in a day to know amazing fall landscapes, included a rare gem in Valga, the war museum. More than a transfer between Riga and Tallinn sharing experiences with a group of maximum 8 people. The trip increased our understanding of this region and the tour guide Lamas was extremely informative and helpful. Instead of big cities, we loved the rural countryside and small towns we passed through. The ride was comfortable. It was a joy to travel with my driver/guide, a fresh and knowledgeable young women. I learnt so much about the region, its history, culture, economics etc which would not have been possible by any other mode of travel. In this case it was one on one and for me very much worth it. I felt relaxed and able to ask questions at any point. The choice of highlights was spot on from the sobering Salaspils Memorial, the beautiful Runsdale palace, the Hill of Crosses to Kaunas and its charm and history. The Lithuanian countryside and its agriculture was also most interesting to me. Breaks were well timed with an enjoyable time over a meal at a deer farm and some time on my own allowing me to photograph and reflect on things seen. Kamile gave me a lot of helpful information for my time alone in Vilnius enhancing considerably my time spent there. Thank you!

It’s also a great way to meet fellow travelers we had representatives from Thailand, Hong Kong, Brazil, Mexico and ourselves from Ireland. My girlfriend and I took the Traveller Tours trip from Vilnius to Riga last week. It was a minibus of up to 8 and we were a full complement. The minibus and driver/guide arrived at the designated collection point early and introduced herself to us all and made us very welcome. It was clear from the outset our guide, Ruta, was enthused and full of passion. She spoke with great enthusiasm and exceptional knowledge about her country’s history - you certainly would not have thought that English wasn’t her first language her description being in great detail. All in all a great way to travel between these beautiful cities and to gain an appreciation of their history as well as to visit several interesting places en route. Would thoroughly recommend.

Our tour guide was Laura. She is professional from warming us up to sharing with us what we are supposed to know about the scenes and history throughout the tour. What's more, she's an excellent driver, making the travel comfortable. Concerning the tour spots, I would suggest adding another half-hour stay at Kaunas. All in all, I highly recommend this to everyone planning to travel from Riga to Vilnius.

"Money well spent"

We upgraded to the private transfer (Riga to Vilnius) as we wanted to visit some different attractions (and also spend more time at some) to those on the group departure and it was well worth the extra expense. Beatrice met us at our apartment a few minutes early in a spacious van for a brief stop at Salaspils Memorial for a very brief stop as it started to rain. Beatrice was then able to time our stops at Rundale Palace and Hill of Crosses for longer stays while the sun was out and then drive during the rain (using a weather app we assume). We also had an extended stop in Kaunas where we visited the main churches, Beatrice showed us her favourite street art and then also visited Ninth Fort before proceeding to Vilnius, where Beatrice also assisted us in communication with the apartment owner. Overall it was like travelling with a friend rather than just a guide.

This tour is the best way to travel from Riga to Vilnuis. Ruta our driver/guide was so knowledgeable and in the nicest way she took us to places where we would have had to organise a day tour from one or the other of the cities. We and five others were taken to Salaspils, the Hill of Crosses, Rundale Palace etc. We enjoyed a nice lunch and the good company of people from other parts of the world and I would highly recommend travelling with this company. This was the 2nd tour we have done with Traveller Tours and I wish they had tours going into Poland. Much better than trains.

I wanted to explore the countryside of Estonia and Latvia while backpacking through Eastern Europe this year. I took this trip in September where Andres was our tour guide. He has a lot of knowledge about the history of both the countries and kept us interested in knowing about the past, culture, traditions, hopes and dreams of the people. Witnessing the green landscape of countryside beyond the charms of Tallinn/Riga Old Towns is something totally worth doing. Also, the tour happens in small groups so you get better opportunities to bind with people on the journey with you. I would recommend this road trip to anyone who is planning to visit Baltic countries.

More so, it was enjoyable and remarkably fascinating because of our guide, Elina (whom we actually privileged to call Ellie), who took all the necessary steps to make it a remembering one. What a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn! Yes, I could have taken a much quicker trip on a direct bus, but I would have missed seeing so much of the lovely countryside in Latvia and Estonia--places that are definitely off the beaten track. And I wouldn't have had half the fun I did with our charming and enthusiastic guide, Hannes, and the nice group of travelers from Brazil, Germany, the UK and Spain. From slightly rigorous forest hikes to walkabouts in historic towns to a whacky tour of the former Soviet bobsled training facilities, it was a day packed with both the fun and the serious. We also had a lovely lunch at a handsome country restaurant. Hannes was witty and good about keeping us all together. This was a great opportunity to learn tall tales and dig into the very complex history of the Baltics.

This was a brilliant, comfortable way to get between Riga and Tallinn, but more than that it allows you to experience more than just those city centres. Our guide was so knowledgeable and never rushed any part of the tour (in fact all the timing was perfect). The minivan was very spacious (which I had worried about as I'm tall and leg room is always an issue - but not this time!) and the restaurant and meal halfway was also lovely. Trip was 100% true to description, and know why it rates so highly in reviews.. An excellent way to advance our holiday from Tallinn to Riga. We saw much more of Estonia and Latvia then if we had just caught the straight through bus. We thought the 65Euro price was very good value for money Guide Uku was excellent - very good English and judged perfectly what we might want to know - often guides want to tell you everything they know and more.............. Weather behaved - Uku paced the trip well - never felt rushed and never felt time was just being filled in. Must mention the lunch at Varga at the Hotel whose name I didn't record - fantastic. The nine of us must have tried 6 of the choices and no-one was disappointed - our Caesar salad with duck and wild boar were excellent - and very reasonably priced.

Rather than taking the direct bus from Riga to Tallinn, this is the best way to explore both countries outside the city centre. Our guide, Katrin is very friendly and knowledgable in explaining the histories of both countries and also all the attractions that we visited. She is also a very safe driver and prepared some umbrellas in case it is raining. I don't feel rushed and she is very flexible with time. On top of that, she has helped us above and beyond when my mom left her bagpack in one of the attraction sites. She makes sure that the bagpack is delivered to us the next day! We were trully appreciative of her efforts in helping us. She has truly displayed an excellent representation of Estonian who is kind hearted! The other guide, Andres who voluntereed to get the bagpack and deliver it to us is truly a star! We will remember Estonia with sweet memories not only because of the beautiful attractions that the country has but also the kind hearted people!

Found this company and tour on line and it sounded really good so booked! Everything was just as described and ran like clockwork but without any hassle or rushing, a great day in a wonderful holiday in Riga and Vilnius. We opted for a private tour as it was more flexible. In particular, we had visited Sigulda for a full day (by train from Riga - recommended) so we asked to skip Sigulda and spend more time at Cesis Castle (also recommended.) Note - Elina said that even on a full tour, the guide can do that if everyone agrees. Elina was full of information and had excellent conversational English. Even if you are on the small group tour (about eight people, max nine), travelling between Riga and Tallinn this way allows you to see a lot more of the country outside the capital cities.

Took the tour from Riga to Vilnius. Stops included: Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Along the way there was a stop for lunch (pay for yourself). Overall the tour was extremely well done, there was ample opportunity to explore at each location with the guide providing some history and information at each stop. Our guide was also top-notch and was able to not only give a great rundown of the history for each location but was also able to add some personal anecdotes. Would highly recommend as a way to get between cities while being able to see some of the countryside.

"Worth your time."

This was a great alternative to a regular bus from Riga to Tallinn. The tour was in a new minibus with only 6 passengers. The guide was a very good driver, extremely friendly, and knowledgeable about regional history and culture. We stopped at some places that really seemed to give a good representation of rural Latvia and Estonia. Most of the trip was on smaller highways and some dirt roads. It was nice to stop and spend time exploring places that had no other tourists there. I'm from the States and road trips through the country backroads are something that I have always enjoyed. This trip was exactly what I had hoped for. Highlights include: beautiful forests, teutonic castles, medieval towns, war museum, excellent restaurant for lunch, country scenery, and a bobsled track. Worth every penny!

First stop was Salaspils prison camp to hear the beating heart monument and see the enormous statues, then Rundale to see the gardens. We enjoyed lunch at a restaurant followed by a visit to the astonishing Hill of Crosses. We stopped at Kaunas, the second largest city in Lithuania, before arriving in Vilnius in the evening. Ruta was informative and entertaining, telling us lots about the history of the places we visited, and joining in the jokes and banter in the mini-bus. Well worth taking the time to travel on this tour. Can highly recommend this trip.

This tour is a great way to see Latvia and Lithuania attraction while getting from Riga to Vilnius. It would've taken us 4 separate trips from Riga and Vilnius to see all of the attractions we have covered in one day. Our guide Kamile was very informative, upbeat and also had a good balance of quiet and tour time. Our 16 yo son was engaged and it is hard to please them at that age. I would also give huge praise to Kamille for being super helpful when we couldn't get into our hotel since we arrived late. When I couldn't reach hotel mgmt, I panicked and call the only person I knew in Vilnius at that time. Kamille was happy to help and went on looking into other available hotels even if that was not part of her job.

The tour is very well worked out. The huge sculptures at Salaspils are amazing, and you'll never see anything like the Hill of Crosses anywhere else in the world. Rundale was okay, but not particularly impressive after the palaces in St. Petersburg, and although it was nice to have a stop in Kaunas, it doesn't have the attractions of Vilnius. Four of us booked this tour and even with the maximum eight, the bus wasn't too cramped. It sounds like a long bus journey but its neatly divided by four stops, two in Latvia, two in Lithuania so doesn't feel too onerous. All three sightseeing stops were great and few people around. Lunch was the fourth! Laura gave us plenty of information on each stop and general history of both countries. She was also an excellent driver! Would recommend.

I had a great time on the Tallinn-Riga bus tour. Stops included a couple castles, a cave, a national park, a bobsled track, and lunch at a really fantastic restaurant. Sten was a welcoming and funny guide. This is a great way to see parts of Estonia and Latvia that you will miss if you only hit the major cities--I highly recommend it!

If you are in the Baltic states and don't have enough time, these tours between Tallinn-Riga-Vilnius are the the best ways to get to know as much as it's possible. Kamile was an extraordinary guide! Thank you for the wonderfoul tour! The only too short stop was in Kaunas, maybe if the bus could arrive a bit later to Vilnius, that would be nice.

"Perfect way to get from A to B"

This one way bus trip is the perfect day trip. It allows you to see little known countryside towns you would otherwise never experience. It also still advances you trip rather than using a whole day only to end up back where you started. It is a wonderful introduction to the history of both countries and the trip is busy but not rushed. A perfect day trip.

The tour was a great way to get from Riga to Tallinn. Van was on time, comfortable, and safely driven. Every hour or so we stopped at medieval towns with castles, national park, museum, and a bobsleigh run (much more interesting that it sounds!). Thanks Hannes for a great tour.

My sister and I only had a few days to travel in Latvia and Lithuania, so this daylong tour allowed us to see more of both countries outside the capitals in a really neat way. We loved our guide, Kamile, who told us about each location with tons of fascinating details. The stops each added to our understanding of Latvia and Lithuania’s history and included a good amount of free time to see things on our own, which was the perfect balance. I’d highly recommend this!

we are 8 travelers coming from different countries plus our very energetic/informative tour guide/driver, LAuraaaaa..... and we build 12 hours of friendship,from concentration Camp to Rundale Palace and in between we have a Lunch, 30 mins from the restaurant is Hill of Cross and off to Kaunas... and finally around 8:30Pm we arrived to Vilnius. It was a Great Day for all of us...

Ahhhh.. I couldn’t exactly put into words how happy and contented we are. It was an AMAZING tour with LAWWWWRA (Laura)! She’s amazing 😉 There are no dull moments at all. She’s informative, energetic, friendly and obviously witty (Oh, and a great singer,too! 😉) We travelled for about 11 and half hours with 5 stops including the lunch and I will tell you guys, paying 65€ for a full day tour is all worth it!! I highly recommend this tour. Good job,guys! Til next time!

"Fabulous day!"

Had a long but thoroughly enjoyable day travelling from Riga to Vilnius via the Salaspils Memorial, Rundale Palace, Hill of Crosses and Kaunas. Our stop off for lunch was also good, the meal was tasty and good value. The eight-seater transport was very comfortable and air-conditioned and the itinerary interesting, but the real star was our guide Laura, from Lithuania. It's not often you meet a guide so energetic, knowledgeable, friendly and with near-perfect English. Such a lot of fun too, an absolute gem. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone, many thanks Laura!

Mike was a fantastic guide who had a love for his country and the Baltics, and he was very tapped in to regional facts, locations and folklore. We loved every minute of the trip. Even though the tour is 12 hours it doesn’t really feel that long. It was really interesting and we never got bored. Our guide (Camille) was super nice and told us everything about Latvian and Estonian history. The locations we visited were very suggestive.

Friendly, informative tour guide. Good day trip for all, including those with young children. Very accommodating when our oldest daughter felt car sick. Beautiful scenery along the way. National Park and view from Bob Sleigh track were stunning. We were also able to pick wild berries and drink from the river. Food at the Lodge stop was good, although the stuffed animals were a bit off putting for me. Local village stops and military museum allowed us to ride on a wooden courting swing and kids to dress up in military get-up. Only slight negative was that our tour left a little later than planned, which meant we arrived quite late at night into Riga; so just bear this in mind for your evening dining.

He chance of meeting other nice travellers is not to be disregarded too. The guides, beyond knowing the places they take you to visit, also can explain a lot about the people and the culture.

100% recommended! The tour guide (Carols? not sure how to spell it, but is the guy that studied biology) was great, super friendly and helpful :) and every place we visited was worth it, except where we ate, food was awful! I think nobody liked it. Everything else was perfect.
