See why the Guardian listed Hiiumaa as one of the best European islands… that you’ve never heard of.
Hiiumaa, the second biggest island in Estonia is rarely visited by tourists, because most of the crowd goes to the bigger and more developed Saaremaa island.
On our long day we will take you to the most picturesque and hidden spots in Hiiumaa. We will climb the Tahkuna & Kõpu lighthouses, walk inside the spooky underground Soviet military bunkers, discover a desert landscape in the middle of a pine tree forest.
We will have lunch at a local fishing village (lunch not included in the price).
After the lunch we will admire the crushing waves at the top surfing beach at Ristna, learn about the making of wool at a small old wool factory, watch birds & feel the smell of the healing mud at Käina bay and visit a romantic Kassari Chapel & old graveyard.
There is also an option to hike a picturesque coastal track to Sääretirp peninsula (requires 1.5h extra time). Please let us know if you are interested in that as well.
All our day trips are in small groups (up to 8 people) taken around in a minivan or a car.
