I joined the Sidetrip team because...
I found it a great opportunity to combine traveling, interacting with people, and having an active lifestyle. Working with like minded people in such a great team is an absolute blessing.
Outside of guiding, my passions are...
Definitely music, you won't meet me without my earphones. I don't have any one preferred genre, although, on a tour I’ll usually play classic rock or funky. Also, I’m up for any kind of sport. During my free time I like to visit some cozy coffee place or have a pint of fine Czech beer with my friends.
I love my job because...
I really enjoy the fact that I am constantly meeting new and interesting people from all over the world. I am able to give them an overview of local history and at the same time I'm learning a lot about their culture, country, and way of life.
My favourite place on Sidetrip tours is...
Znojmo, a little Czech town on the tour from Vienna to Prague. This place is truly a hidden gem. It is peaceful, authentic, and quiet with almost no tourists.
Sidetrip is better than travelling with plane/bus/train/etc because...
You get a chance to see some other awesome sites besides the major European cities. And you can hear all the stories from a local person. I find it’s a great way to get a better understanding of a country's history, customs, and traditions.
An interesting fact that always entertains my group is...
Czechs and Slovaks are officially using two different languages. However, 99.9% of locals consider it one language.

Our trip was fantastic from pick up to drop off. Our guide was very professional & knowledgeable. The stops we made were beautiful even when it rained! Jakub had umbrellas for us, so that was helpful. We were introduced to some very good Local dry red wines on one of our stops. I would highly recommend Sidetips. This was so much more enjoyable than riding on a bus or train. We saw towns we never would have thought of seeing on our own. Thank you! Jakub’s the Best.
Our journey was from Vienna to Prague. The meetup point at Vienna is right by Mozart cafe, which is near the city center, and very convenient. Jakub was our tour guide, he was very professional and had a very likable personality. He kept the group engaged and was informative to the best of his knowledge. The group was very punctual, and we were able to make it to all of the destinations on time, which was key. This was a good deal for a one-way journey. Highly recommended.
Excellent customer service. Jacob was super nice and patient. I highly recommend this tour.
At firts, I'm hesitant to avail the services of Sidetriptours as I'm travelling alone but because of the patient and so accommodating customer service (Thank you Triin 😊), I tried it and discovered that it's incredibly fun and memorable trip as I was able to look in on places which supposedly impossible if I travelled by trai, and at the same time I have this opportunity to meet and mingle people of different nationalities. Since I'm alone, I have the chance to ask them to take a photo of me as my remembrance of the places we've visited. #freephotographer 📷😉😂🤗 Actually, it's an AMAZING transfer from Prague to Vienna together with our kind tourist guide/driver named Jacob. All the side tour trippers were able to enjoy the trip as Jacob briefed us with the history, stories and some legends of the places that we've visited. We were able to visit the famous Kutna Hora underground chapel decorated with "thousands" of human skeletons and a chandelier in the center designed of human skulls/skeletons. It's creepy but a masterpiece of someone's brave soul. During the trip, you'll not get bored as you will have stop overs with the tourist spots such as the magnificient Cathedrals of Kutna Hora and Brno (and lunch within the vicinity of Freedom Square), and Mikulov Palace. In case you want to add some spice with your Europe transfers, I highly recommend you go with Sidetriptours. It's a transfer without a waste of your day. 👍 #sidetriptours #amazing #noregrets #solotraveller #grateful #satisfied #tillnextTime
Jakub is a great guide, friendly and attentive and tells good stories about the places we visited. He made the whole trip feels like a friend taking us on the trip rather than just another tour guide. He is very professional at the same time. We offered to buy him beer but he gently but firmly declined. He doesn’t drink on the job. Who can resist beer 🍺 while in beer country but him! Really enjoyed the trip from Prague to Munich.
Doing a Sidetrip tour is a great idea. You don't waste any travel time from one country to another because you get to tour so many places on your way there. Our tour guide, Jakub, was great too! He arrived on time. He was knowledgable about the places we went to. He was very patient as well and we didnt feel like we were being rushed from one destination to another. We would like to do Sidetrip tours again in one of their other routes some day.
