Tours Petr (CZ) is Doing
Berlin-Prague One-Way Sightseeing Tour Bus
Visit Dresden Old Town, Elbe sandstone rocks, Moritzburg Palace and Litomerice on your transfer from Berlin to Prague
Petr is from Moravia - this is very important and not to be confused with Bohemia or anywhere else. Petr is a welcoming guy, so much so that he went and studied Hospitality and Tourism in university.
After his studies Petr took off to travel the whole world and experience the hospitality around the globe. He started with New Zealand, naturally. After 30 countries he settled in England to hone his language skills. Once he deemed himself good enough he finally came home to the Czech Republic to become a tour guide. We suspect that the job is a cover to finance more travels but we’ll allow it.
We had a compatible group of 7 and a very personable and knowledgeable guide. Traffic cut some of our sightseeing time short, but the guide made an effort to at least show us most of the sights on the route, although it had gotten dark by then.
My wife and I joined five other travelers for our trip from Prague to Munich led by Petr. In fact Petr was a friendly, relaxed guide and driver and provided interesting history and insights relevant to our visits to Karlstejn Castle, Pilsen and Regensburg. Lunch at the brewery in Pilsen was very good. The van was comfortable and the stops were frequent enough to avoid boredom or too many stiff joints.
This was such a fun way to travel between cities...much better than bus or train. Peter, our driver/guide was right on time, and our group of 7 was fun. Made three stops for sightseeing, and Peter was very knowledgeable about the history of the areas. Highly recommended!
Petr was a great tourguide. We enjoyed his humorous stories and insights. Aside from telling us about the various places we visited, he shared his experiences growing up in the Czech Republic and how he came to be an English speaking tourguide. The stop in Plzen was a highlight. The unfiltered Pilsner Urquell was delicious and a real treat. The stop in Regensburg was nice, though a little rushed. Enjoyed the history and the story about the “race” to build the bridge and cathedral. A lot of driving, but some good stops!
The guide really added the value to our tour.
Petr of Czech Republic was our guide, He did very well - took very well care of us, regarding information and guidance - a must to go trip. Highly recommended
The tour took us from prague to munich with a couple stops on the way. We got a brief history of the castle while looking at it from afar. The beer museum was interesting and the food there was really good. The last stop was a church and bridge that was beautiful. If I would have taken any other transportation I never would have seen these places. He was able to drop us off at our stop which was on the way
We had such an incredible day with Petr as our tour guide. He was friendly, super informative and made for an incredible day. Showing us sites we would have else missed, patiently waiting as we needed breaks, helping us navigate, conversing with locals etc. We felt like we were hanging out with a friend, not a guide. Highly recommend using SideTrip and especially Petr.
Great guide with nice stops during the way. Was the best way for me and my family to go from Munich to Prague. The guide, Petr, had a lot of information and was a very kind person. My family loved everything.
Trip was very nice. Comfortable ride, Driver was friendly, English communication was excellent. Overall we liked the way he explained about tour sites.
Knowledgeable guide from CZ was great! The stops break up the trip and add some insights to the local area, much better than a train/bus straight to Prague. Prepared us for our stay in Prague :)
We traveled from Vienna to Prague. Our guide could even sort the weather do it rained only when we were in the van. An excellent day
We were a group of 5 adults in a private van tour. Our driver, Peter from Czech rep, picked us up from our hotel (Hilton, Berlin) and drove us to our hotel in Prague. And the side trip from Berlin to Prague was amazing! We saw the awesome Dresden churches and palaces, the fairytalish Moritzburg castle, and the astonishing mountains of sandstones. We even saw the bust of Jose Rizal in the quaint town of Litomerice. And what made this experience fantastic was our guide/driver Peter. We learned a lot of Czech history from him. He really knows his stuff! This sidetrip actually became the highlight of our trip. Thanks a bunch Peter!
We had a fantastic time! It was raining the day we left, so our guide, Petr arrived with umbrellas! We toured the gardens of the summer home ( if you can call it that) of the Liechtenstein family. We were so enchanted that we wanted to tour the house which Petr arranged. We had about an hour and a half before the tour, so our guide took us wine tasting. When we got to the winery, it was closed. Petr called the owner showed up about 5 minutes later and we tasted about 10 different wines! (We bought 6 bottles which all made it home). Lunch was at a local restaurant, which was fabulous. Because of the rain, we took a tour of the Tabor underground tunnels. Our tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, personable, and accommodating. He let us take our time and wasn't worried that the tour was going to take longer. Driving also allowed us to see the Czech countryside which contained some very beautiful forest land!
Fue un viaje muy agradable, que nos permitió conocer otros lugares muy bien elegidos, en lugar de solo cambiar de una ciudad a otra. Nuestro guía fue muy amable y nos fue explicando sobre los lugares que visitamos.
What a great way to travel one way and make the most of your trip! The Saxon Switzerland stop to see amazing cliffs and the wonderful walk around Dresden were a perfect way to spend the day. Peter was a knowledgeable and personable guide!
Absolutely amazing experience. Very small personal tour group. Had 5 people and Petr was very focused on making sure everyone got to see exactly what they wanted to. His knowledge of Dresden and the Saxony Switzerland made it a very exciting tour. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for the best way to travel from city to city
We loved this trip! Peter is a great guide.
Petr was great. He cared a lot about us having a good experience. I only wish we had more time to explore - though I realize this would not be possible to do in a single day.
Our guide Peter was great to travel with. He was a very safe driver and provided informative history at the stops taken. The stops were necessary from a drivers perspective due to the long distances, and the stops were short enough to see bare essentials but not long enough to take it all in. Van was spacious and comfortable and air conditioned. It had the capacity to seat 8 passengers (5 comfortably) and the average per trip would be 5-6 people. We however were lucky enough to be the only 2 passengers and had a personalised experience. Thank you Petr
We took the tour from Vienna to Prague recently and had a spellbound experience. It is a wonderful method of travelling between two cities, covering small beautiful towns and mesmerising natural beauties. We discovered the Czech Republic before we reached Prague through picturesque little town Mikolov, tasting wine in authentic vinery, taking pictures in Znojmo, and last but not the least enjoying shopping at the colourful Telc. Our tour guide Peter was very entertaining, helpful and made our tour remarkable with his personal effort. We highly recommend this trip if someone wants to go from Vienna to Prague. The tour consists of small groups of maximum 8 people, hence everybody is entertained.
This is the first time we try a one way trip and it sure beats the usual ride from A to B which would have been a boring journey to reach the destination. The Prague - Munich journey took us to Karlštejn Castle for a scenic break. Lunch break was at Pilsen where we also visited the brewery museum. We continued on to Regensburg Cathedral and took a tour of the town. These are places which we wouldn't normally have gone as they are out of our way. Taking this trip was a good decision! Our guide Petr was knowledgeable and a safe driver. My family had an enjoyable journey.
Our guide, Petr, was incredibly kind and knowledgeable. This was a really enjoyable way to spend the day and a terrific way to see some more parts of the Czech Republic along the way to Vienna. We enjoyed the drive and were really glad to have Petr’s insights and commentary along the way. Thank you for the great tour!
Petr was an excellent driver and guide. He kept up the conversation and answered all our questions. We were four altogether in the van, which was clean and comfortable. Drove through some beautiful countryside and stopped at several beautiful towns along the way from Vienna to Prague. Altogether, great option if you’re going to be based in the big cities and would like to see the surrounding region.
My husband and I booked this tour since we wanted to see some of the lesser visited towns and castles on our way from Vienna to Prague and we were more than glad we did. Although it was rainy, our wonderful local guide, who spoke great English, tailored the trip to make sure we got to see our sites without getting soaked. He even let us do the optional winery and tasting (which was fabulous) and see the “fairytale square “. Would definitely recommend!
We have done a one way tour with them from Budapest to Vienna and again this trip from Vienna to Prague. Spacious van and 4 passengers on this trip as well. Really like the small group idea. Well paced and relaxed, reached Prague by 7 in the evening. Our guide was Petr who was very friendly and again gave us a good overview of the towns/villages. Sampled local food with him as well. I have suggested Side Trip tours to our friends and some people we met on our travels. This is a great way of travelling from one place to another. Would most definitely recommend.
Using SideTrip tours for my transport from Prague to Berlin was the most convenient, entertaining way I could have chosen! It turned out to just be one other very friendly person on our tour, and our guide Petr was super friendly, hospitable, and informative. I liked the coffee stops, learning about the history of Dresden, and seeing where they filmed the Czech Cinderella! Would highly recommend this tour!
This sidetrip was so worth it! Our guide Petr was funny, kind, and took us to a bunch of places that we would never have seen had we not decided to give sidetrip a try! Our stops included Lednice, a wine tasting at Drmola in Bavory, lunch and a tour of the town and Underground in Znojmo, and a brief stop in pretty Telc. All in all would hands down recommend!
Our driver Petr met us promptly at the appointed time right outside the door of our AirBnb. He guided us to a roomy and comfortable van which had great air conditioning on a hot day. All the stops were great and added to our trip. We toured at a leisurely pace. Also loved being able to talk to Petr and get to know a little bit more him, and the countries we were visiting from the perspective of a local. At the end of the day, he also gave us extra help as Google was not quite accurate with our destination. Invaluable to have had someone who knew both Czech and English! This was an excellent way to spend what would normally have been only a travel day. We had a great time and would highly recommend this to anyone looking to move from one place to another.
Definitely one of the highlights of my trip. I really enjoyed all of our stops and our conversations. As a solo traveler, it's a great way to interact with other travelers. Really thankful that I got to ride the bus with a very nice family and Petr (our guide).
My friend and I really enjoyed our tour from Prague to Munich. We stopped at three different attractions along the way which were all very interesting, and our guide did an excellent job explaining the history and fun facts of each place. Our guide was very accommodating and friendly (and a fantastic driver), and we were never rushed and felt safe the whole time. I think it’s a great idea to enjoy the suburbs while on the way to Munich. Would highly recommend !
I know there may not be a bunch of reviews yet, but if you're thinking of booking this, do it! I thought this would be better than taking a regular bus and I was right. We got to see a bunch of spots many people never get to see. I got to learn a bunch of niche/lesser known history about the places and got some great views of the countryside from our stops. The tour guides were great because this was very casual conversation and i appreciated this because I was pretty tired and enjoyed how relaxing the atmosphere and travels were. It felt like hanging out with old friends or classmates or something. I recommended this to my friends and would recommend for other people. In the future, I'll probably check out their day trips and other transit tours because it's better than just seeing nothing for hours on a coach bus. Also the car looked new and safe and for some people that's important, too so there you go.
